Mulberry Grove softball traveled to Vandalia on Monday and fell to the Fayette County squad 3-0.
The Aces were able to bang out four hits — three from Taylor Stone — received five walks and reached on one Vandal error but were unable to push a run across.
“We have to score the runs when we get runners on base,” said MG coach Misty Mezo. “We had every opportunity to win that game but couldn’t push the runs across. We had runners on base every inning. I even think we had more baserunners than they did. The difference was we couldn’t push them across. We played good defense and Lily (Johnson) pitched a great game.” For more information see the April 14, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
