Mulberry Grove Sports 2023 Part One

Happy 2024! Let’s look back at 2023 and Mulberry Grove High School sports.

The MG boys basketball team snapped a losing streak by beating O’Fallon (First Baptist Academy) 66-58 at home. Both teams combined for 119 shots on the day.

Mulberry’s Aaron Cook hit a pair of threes and drained two free throws in the fourth quarter while Carter Scoggins also buried a crucial three in the final stanza on his way to a 16-point, 10-rebound performance.

Landon Sugg and Arjan Epperson each added 14 points while Cook finished with 11.

The Ramsey-Mulberry Grove girls team fell in a close contest to Sandoval by a 51-46 count. Jenni Mezo had 18 points and seven rebounds while Micah Greenwood added six points and four rebounds.
