Football district proposal defeated

Well, it was shot down, again.

There were just so many unanswered questions surrounding it.

On Tuesday, the IHSA released the results of proposals for the next school year. Among those votes was the denial of changing football to in-season district play instead of the current conference format.

Member schools voted 379-272 (with 76 schools voting no opinion) NOT to move football to district play.

As a result, there will be no state-mandated changes to football scheduling.

Locally, Greenville High School coach Todd Hutchinson is pleased that it was voted down.
