Today’s recipe, Gourmet MRE (meals ready-to-eat), is a little different from the normal ones I print but I hope you enjoy the information just as well.
Tuesday, October 31, I had the privilege of spending the day with Patti Maurer and her Family and Consumer Science classes as they participated in the “Cooks to Camo” competition. There was an article in this Tuesday’s edition, if you didn’t have a chance to read it I encourage you to go back and do so. I do believe it was a fun learning experience for us all. We also had the privilege of spending time with Staff Sergeant (SSG), Jordan Schumacher, Army National Guard recruiter, and a few of our own local VIP’s, area veterans, who served as judges for the competition.
