The 75th Bond County Fair will open next Thursday. Tuesday’s paper talked about some of the new things you can expect, and next Tuesday’s will have pictures and biographies of the 25 ladies in the pageants.
Today’s feature is a behind-the-scenes look about the pageants. Kayley Essington and Katie Perkins have taken responsibility for the three events. Sunday, Aug. 6, 10 little girls will all receive awards as Bond County Little Miss. On Monday, five older teens will compete to be Miss Bond County for the next year, and 10 younger girls will seek the title of Junior Miss Bond County. The queens will appear at events throughout the next year. Little Misses will appear occasionally.
