According to Illinois State Police, a fatal accident occurred on Thursday, Dec. 15, at approximately 12:13 a.m. at the Interstate 70 westbound exit 45 off-ramp. Two vehicles were involved.
The identity of Unit 1 is unknown because the driver fled the scene. Unit 2 was pronounced deceased. Unit 2 was a 2011 silver Honda. The driver of Unit 2 has not yet been identified.
