The Bond County Historical Society and Bond County Genealogical Society meet at Smithboro Village Hall at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, April 25.
Harry Hedrick Smith will tell the story of Smithboro, founded in 1870. Hear from longtime locals and former residents; enjoy nostalgia of people, businesses, and events; and participate in a Q&A. Village Hall is located in the old bank, a white brick building at 202 Main Street. Parking is on the street. The meeting will be in the back room.
The public is invited, plus there will be snacks! Bring your memories, photographs, and advertising of Smithboro.
