GHS played two games to start off the week, pulling off a 6-3 win over Litchfield on Monday and a 12-8 victory over Civic Memorial.
Early in the game against Litchfield, the Comets fell behind 3-0 after giving up three runs on four hits, but the Comets stranded two Panthers runners to limit the damage. In the bottom half of the first inning, Trent Bohannon hit a leadoff single, followed by a walk from Drew Potthast, and Ryan Harnetiaux was able to bring them both home with a two-RBI double.
