Apparently, Santa left the Lady Comets with the gift of energy.
Because they got after it from the opening tip.
GHS forced seven turnovers and made 13 shots in the opening quarter on their way to a 56-28 win over Sandoval to start the CORL Winterfest outside of Centralia Wednesday morning.
The win raised the Lady Comets record to 8-4 overall and advanced them to the winners bracket where they faced the winner of the McLeansboro (Hamilton County)/Vandalia contest yesterday.
