Results of the Friends of the Library Tree Contest

The Friends of the Greenville Public Library have concluded their Holiday Tree Silent Auction fund raising event. The decorated trees were displayed at the Milk House for the past three weeks where viewers were able to bid on them.. On Saturday, Dec. 2. final bidding concluded at noon, and the high bid winners were notified to come pick up their tree.

There were 17 trees that were donated for this auction, and they represented six businesses, three individuals, and eight groups. The Friends raised $1,700 from the sale, which is all designated to benefit the services and programs of the Greenville Public Library. Over 200 people cast votes for THE PRETTIEST TREE and the TREE WITH THE MOST CREATIVE DECORATIONS. For more information see the December 5, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
