For some reason, we in sports call exciting games barnburners.
We’re not really sure where that actually came from but we know one when we see it.
Mulberry Grove’s game at Martinsville on Friday night was definitely a barnburner!
The Aces used a huge fourth quarter run to get within one point but ended up falling just short during their 48-46 loss in their Egyptian-Illini Conference opener.
Martinsville raised their mark to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the E-I Conference while MG fell to 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the E-I. For more information see the December 5, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
