The Comets have home field advantage when the regional playoffs start, Friday, Oct. 13.
After a terrific regular season, the team will play Staunton in the first round. The team played excellently toward the end of the season, finishing with a 6-2 record in the South Central conference. Despite a tough loss to Litchfield on senior night, 3-1, the team secured the no. three seed for the tournament.
They have proved they can beat Staunton, and look to do so in hopes of advancing. In their Sept. 26 match, the Comets won, 2-1. For more information see the October 6, 2023, edition of The Greenville Advocate.
