Wednesday night the GU Panthers took on the Webster U Gorloks in a competitive SLIAC matchup that came down to the wire and ended with Greenville taking the lead with 20 seconds left and holding on for the 73-72 win.
The matchup contained two top teams from the SLIAC as Greenville came in 10-4, 2-0 SLIAC and the Gorloks 12-1 (2-0 SLIAC).
The first quarter went back and forth on the scoreboard and on the court as both teams played at a high pace, displaying their full court press on defense. For more information see the January 13, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
