Carter Scoggins had himself a day at the plate.
The Aces shortstop and leadoff man went 3 for 3 with a double and a huge three-run home run in the top of the fifth that proved to be the difference as MG took a 4-2 win at Woodlawn on Friday.
“We played well. It was pretty even defensively,” said MG coach Kevin Millikin. “I have to give the shout-out to Carter Scoggins for the home run that gave us the edge. I’m happy with the boys continually improving.” For more information see the May 2, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
