It’s never easy to win on the road in the rain.
But the Lady Comets soccer team did it again.
For the third game in a row, they won in difficult conditions, the last two games on penalty kicks.
They won at Pinckneyville Tuesday night 3-2 during the PK session after being tied 1-1 through regulation.
GHS got PK goals from Ady Bearley, Megan Ridens, and Katie Campbell to win.
“Proud of the girls for finding a way to win in tough conditions,” said GHS coach Chris Swift. “We created a lot of good chances and defended well. Erin Peppler scored a terrific goal for us, and it’s great that she is consistently finding the back of the net.”
