The 2023 Greenville University baseball season opens today in Columbus, Mississippi.
GU will travel into the Deep South to play a three-game set with future SLIAC opponent the Mississippi University for Women (It has been a coed school since 1982).
Longtime head coach Lynn Carlson — who has been coaching Greenville since 1997 — believes he has a solid nucleus of players returning from last year’s 19-24 squad that went 2-2 in the SLIAC Tournament. For more information see the February 17, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
