Unfortunately, the Lady Comets just couldn’t finish.

After taking the opening set, Greenville just couldn’t stem the attack of their visitors from Litchfield and dropped the final two sets.

The Purple Panthers left town with a 23-25, 25-22, 25-18 victory.

LHS moved to 11-12 overall on the year while GHS dropped to 7-20.

“We played really well the first set,” said GHS coach Hannah Hoffmann. “The girls really studied the scouting report, and it helped us win the first set. Litchfield made some adjustments in the second set that we didn’t make, and our communication was down. Litchfield was scrappy and we couldn’t come up with the scrappy digs like they did. In light of things, we play Litchfield first round of regionals, and this game will prepare us for what to work on when it comes to that time.”
