Traditional SLIAC power Webster University came to Greenville for a three-game set over the weekend and overpowered the Greenville baseball team by a combined score of 39-13.

The losses drop GU to 11-10 in the SLIAC and 18-20 overall. They also slipped to fifth in the league standings, one game behind Westminster. That means the Panthers will travel to Westminster for a play-in game today to advance in the SLIAC conference tourney.

Webster finished the season with their 16th straight regular season crown at 18-3 in loop play. They are 28-12 overall. For more information see the May 9, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
