A perfect fall day allowed an outdoor service at Mt. Gilead Cumberland Presbyterian Church to go off without a hitch.
A large crowd came for the service and stayed for lunch and a time of reminiscing about the good old days. Later, several walked through the cemetery and learned about some of the earlier families.
Pastor Tom Hunter grew up in the Mt. Gilead church and returned to speak. Current Pastor Ward Sussenbach was also on the program.
