New maintenance compound being built for park district

If you have driven by JC Park lately, you likely noticed the large structure going up across from the playground. When completed, this will be a new maintenance compound for the Kingsbury Park District.

The shed will be a 64×62 building, just under 4,000 square feet, and will be able to house equipment such as lawnmowers, tractors, trucks, and much more. This will give the KPD more storage space and allow them to keep their equipment out of the elements.

The original idea for the building first came up in 2018. Right now, the KPD employees work out of a 20×20 shed, which does not afford them a lot of room for storage. The new compound will also give KPD employees a larger space to perform maintenance on the equipment. For more information see the September 15, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
