Court cases resolved in May

Bond County State’s Attorney Dora J. Mann’s office has reported the following cases that were prosecuted and resolved by Mann in the month of May.

May 8

Brock A. Huelskamp of Carlyle admitted to a Violation of an Order of Probation, with the original charge being Unlawful Methamphetamine Possession, which occurred on Sept. 11, 2022. Huelskamp was re-sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in the Illinois Department of Corrections, followed by 6 months Mandatory Supervised Release. He had previously pleaded guilty on Sept. 21, 2022 and was sentenced to a 24 month First Offender Order of Probation. A petition to revoke probation was filed on Dec. 13, 2022 and he was re-sentenced to a 24 month Order of Probation on Dec. 28, 2022.

May 11

Elizabeth A. Parks of Greenville pleaded guilty to a charge of Aggravated Battery which occurred on Oct. 31, 2022. She was sentenced to a 36 month Order of Conditional Discharge.

Alisha L. Tucker of Greenville pleaded guilty to a charge of Criminal Trespass to Real Property. She was sentenced to a 12 month Order of Supervision.

Laura M. Kanatzar of Greenville admitted to a Violation of a 2nd Chance Order of Probation, with the original charge being Burglary to a Motor Vehicle Without Causing Damage, which occurred on Feb. 16, 2020. Kanatzar was re-sentenced to a 24 month Order of Probation. She had previously pleaded guilty on Feb. 11, 2021 and was sentenced to a 24 month 2nd Chance Order of Probation. A petition to revoke probation was filed on August 23, 2022.

May 31

Brian P. Guthrie of Carlyle entered a plea of guilty to Violation of Order of Probation-Enhanced Offense, which occurred on Oct. 14, 2022. He was sentenced to 18 months in the Illinois Department of Corrections, followed by 4 years Mandatory Supervised Release.

Hoyt F. Ray of Martinsville entered a plea of guilty to Criminal Trespass to Real Property, which occurred on July 14, 2022. He was sentenced to an Order of Conditional Discharge for a term of 12 months.

Christina M. Rice of Carlyle entered a plea of guilty to Unlawful Methamphetamine Possession and Unlawful Possession Adult Use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle, which occurred on April 11, 2023. She was sentenced to an Order of Probation for a term of 24 months.
