A ten-day layoff in the middle of the season normally isn’t a good thing.

However, it seemed to be exactly what the Greenville University baseball team needed.

The Panthers had been stuck in limbo since they gave up six runs in the last inning and fell to Rutgers-Newark 7-6 on March 17 to end their spring trip to Florida.

Monday afternoon at Robert “Ish” Smith Field, they blasted Blackburn in their SLIAC opener 15-0 in a seven inning contest. For more information see the March 31, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
