On Thursday, March 23, the Lady Comets softball team pushed a run across in the bottom of the first inning to cut into Altamont’s lead, but GHS couldn’t keep up with the Indians as they pulled away for an 8-2 win on the GHS softball diamond.

“We left eight people on base,” said GHS coach Steve Dannaman. “Emma Wilfong did a nice job yesterday: she struck out eight. Fielding-wise we were pretty good. We were aggressive with some throwdowns. Zoee (Englert) catching; we picked a runner off third to eliminate a threat. So we did a good job with a lot of things, but we’re just not getting that timely hit we need to score some runs.”
