Austin Davis, a Bond County man charged with attempted murder, has been found unfit to stand trial.

Davis has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated arson, domestic battery, aggravated cruelty to animals, and resisting a peace officer, stemming from an incident on Feb. 19, in which he allegedly attempted to kill Kayla R. Horton by confining her in a burning home. The aggravated cruelty to animals charge stems from Davis allegedly confining a companion animal, being a poodle, in the residence, leading to the death of said animal in the fire.
