On Saturday Greenville traveled to Principia to compete against the Panthers and came home with a 72-67 win, getting back on track.
Early in the contest Greenville was able to keep the 5-4 Principia Panthers off the scoreboard as they got up 5-0. Greenville kept their slim lead throughout the first quarter and was up 14-12 going into the second.
GU continued their success as they outpaced Principia 17-11. At halftime Greenville was up 31-23, and Savanna Powell-Goodman had six points to lead the team in scoring. For more information see the February 7, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
