The Comets went 18 for 28 from beyond the arc and 27 for 50 overall to overwhelm Taylorville 81-69 in the third-place game of the Rick McGraw Invitational Saturday evening in Litchfield.
Greenville is 13-9 after going 3-1 at the McGraw, while Class 3A Taylorville, who surprised everyone by going 2-2 and almost upset Bethalto (Civic Memorial) in the semifinals, sits at 3-20. For more information see the January 24, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
