Steve Martin once said “the banjo is such a happy instrument — you can’t play a sad song on the banjo — it always comes out cheerful.”
Veteran performer Mark Raborn proved this statement to be true as he entertained a full house Sunday afternoon at the DeMoulin Museum.
Raborn grew up in north Georgia and learned to play banjo when he was a child. He has enjoyed a long career with various country, bluegrass, and Cajun bands where he plays using a three-finger style on a five-string banjo.
