The game looked like it was going down to the wire.
However, someone forgot to tell the Lady Comets.
Greenville went on a 13-3 scoring run late in the final quarter and pulled away from Class 3A Troy (Triad) 37-29 to win their season opener at the Columbia Tourney Tuesday night.
They advanced to the semifinals to take on Carlyle a 53-22 winner over Waterloo. That game was contested last night however results were unavailable at press time.
