City Council approves revolving loan to re-open Globe Theatre

At their November 14 meeting, the Greenville City Council approved a request by Dave Willey for a loan from the revolving loan fund to re-open the Globe Theater. Back in March of 2020, the Globe was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The loan amount would total $149,646 over five years. As part of the agreement, there would be forgiveness totaling $130,446.

At the meeting of the Greenville City Council, Laura Miller, Terry Swalley and Carol Knight gave a presentation on the Character Education program. They requested to work with the city to make Greenville a City of Character.
