Library board holds monthly meeting, discusses upcoming renovations

The Library board met April 12 in the Bradford Room. The board approved the previous minutes as well as the Building and Grounds Committee meeting on April 12,

The board approved the March bills as presented for payment, including magazine subscriptions, large print books, insurance, utility bills, and paying Gary Jackson for mowing.

Director Jo Keillor gave the director’s report. The annual air conditioner inspection came. One unit had a bad condenser. It would cost $3,000 to put a new condenser on a 20 year-old unit, so the library received bids on a new air conditioner. The board approved the purchase of a new air conditioner from Weeke’s for $6,837.
