The Jr. High girls basketball season at Greenville Jr. High has wrapped up for the fall campaign.
The 8th grade competed in the IESA 8th grade Class 3A Litchfield Regional.
They won their regional quarterfinal over Roxana 31-17 on Nov. 18.
Greenville led 6-2 after a quarter and 15-8 at the half. They carried a 10-point lead into the final quarter.
Payton White had nine points as did Miley Matthews. Ava Schaefer had five points.
In their semifinal game on Nov. 20 they fell to Staunton 30-13.
The Jays stayed close most of the game trailing 5-2 after the first then 9-6 as they went to the locker rooms.
