The Greenville Junior High seventh grade journalism class learned the basics of writing an effective news story recently with the assistance of veteran journalist, Roger Sanders.

This class, under the guidance of Kendra Sigafoos, is one of several electives that students can take during the school year. Sigafoos, a fourth-year teacher, had worked in the newspaper business prior to entering the teaching field.

The journalism class periodically produces a two-page newspaper. But an additional current assignment will be to utilize the tools taught by Sanders to write an article about his presentation. For more information see the October 17, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
