As the cost of living increases, families look toward traditional frugal living practices to ease that burden.
The University of Illinois offers nine classes in Greenville and surrounding counties to help families save money and eat better at the same time.
The first class, Frugal Gardening, was held Monday evening at the First Christian Church. Visitors stopped at nearly a dozen interactive stations to learn about healthy, simple gardening. It was a family affair with several parents and children working together on projects they could take home and grow.
