Sometimes growing pains are difficult.
That’s undoubtedly what the Greenville High School softball team experienced this spring.
In fact, in their regional quarterfinal loss to Staunton, the GHS lineup card saw one senior and one junior in the lineup with the other seven being freshmen or sophomores.
The squad put together an 8-26 mark (1-8 in SCC play) but did have some highlight moments including a big win over Teutopolis and a huge upset win at home against Piasa (Southwestern). They also recorded a big seventh inning to take down Nokomis.
