Last week’s National Day of Prayer offered three opportunities for people to gather and pray. Greenville University posted Gratitude posters near Jo’s Java and invited students and staff to write things/people/memories that they are grateful for. In addition, the library had a table called “Write a Prayer, Take a Prayer.” Participants put prayer requests on cards and placed them in large jars. They were also invited to take a request from a different jar and to pray for that need throughout the day. The student government association sponsored the event and was pleased with the response.
