Bond County will hold the first public meeting to discuss the risks to natural hazards the communities in Bond County face at the Bond County Courthouse on May 25, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
While natural hazards cannot be entirely prevented, hazard mitigation plans for the foundation for a community’s long-term strategy to reduce disaster-related losses. One representative from each jurisdiction is invited to serve on the committee.
The planning committee invites the public to learn more about the 2023 local hazard mitigation plan update.
