A double overtime victory to mathematically stay alive for an SCC crown.

That’s what the Lady Comets soccer team pulled off April 27 in Staunton.

Megan Ridens scored the game-winner in double overtime on an assist from Ady Bearley to give GHS a 1-0 victory.

The win pushed Greenville’s record to 11-9 overall and 6-2 in the SCC. It was the final SCC contest for the Lady Comets who currently sit in second place. Piasa (Southwestern) is 6-0 in SCC play this season. Staunton dropped to 7-11 overall and 2-5 in the SCC.
