Greenville got out to a quick 5-0 lead after one inning and never looked back as they beat Browns-town-St. Elmo 17-0 in four innings on April 19.
Five GHS hitters had multi-hit games while Emma Wilfong scattered three hits over four innings to secure the big victory.
The Lady Comets had five hits in the opening frame, thanks to singles by Wilfong, Hannah Potthast, Anna Turner, Haylee Clark, and Zoee Englert. Clark, Turner, Englert and Ava Potthast all had RBIs in the first. For more information see the April 25, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
