It has been a tough week of games so far for the Lady Comets soccer team as they have dropped a pair of matches at Tom Doll Field, making them 5-8 overall and 1-2 in SCC play.

On Monday, Jerseyville swept into town and left with a 3-0 victory.
“It was a good opportunity for us to try some people in different positions and evaluate some things today,” said GHS coach Chris Swift. “Really happy with the effort from Ella Kleiner stepping into the back line as a freshman. Georgia Sussenbach also stepped in at center back for the first time in her career and did really well. Shay (Henderson) made some huge saves in the game that kept us in it.
