On Monday the Comets traveled to Breese to take on Mater Dei and fell by a score of 10-2. They then hosted Carlinville on Tuesday, losing 7-3.
At Breese Mater Dei:
In the top of the first inning on the road, Trent Bohannon put together a long at-bat that ended in a single, followed by a walk from Drew Potthast. Bohannon came around to score off a double from Ryan Harnetiaux to take a 1-0 lead.
Mater Dei got their leadoff man on base, but the Comets kept Mater Dei off the scoreboard, stranding two runners.
