On Tuesday afternoon, the Panthers hosted Westminster in their first SLIAC matchup of the year. A late offensive surge propelled Greenville to a 9-1 victory.

In the first inning Westminster jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but Greenville quickly responded with a run of their own as Jackie Belzer scored Madi Case on a two-out single.

Both teams went scoreless in the second, third, and fourth innings before the Panthers put up four runs in the fifth. Case, Mia Boyd, and Belzer all reached base safely, and Andrea Roberts and Desirae Yost hit singles to score the first three runners. Roberts later scored on a wild pitch to put the Panthers up 5-1.
