Apparently, all you need is a big enough inning.

That inning was the top of the fifth for the Lady Comets softball squad on Tuesday as they plated eight runs and then held on for an 8-7 road win over Teutopolis.

GHS moved to 2-4 on the season while the Wooden Shoes dropped to 1-4. However, T-Town’s losses this year before Tuesday came from Casey-Westfield, Mt. Zion and Salem. Those three schools had a combined record of 25-3 after Tuesday’s action. For more information see the April 7, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
