Last year was a record-setting season for the Greenville High School Lady Comets soccer team.

They set a school record for wins with their 16-8 record and set several individual marks as well.

GHS coach Chris Swift hopes to continue that trend during his sixth season at the helm.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how we can build off the success of last year,” he said. “For us as a program, it’s been a building process here. This is my sixth season here. The first four built into last season, and now it’s a matter of maintaining it. We’re not going to sneak up on anyone this year. I think we sneaked up on a few teams last year. I don’t think that’s going to be the case this year.” For more information see the March 14, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
