George Barber, Greenville, was one of five mayors from Southern Illinois to recently participate in a meeting with Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton.
The three-and-a-half hour meeting was held in Mount Vernon on Feb. 16 and was centered around creating connections between local governments in downstate and state-level leadership. For more information see the March 7, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
