Greenville Optimist Club sends two orators to district contest

The Greenville Optimist Club held the annual oratorical contest at Greenville Junior High School on Feb. 23, with six contestants from junior high or high school.

The contestants spoke for four to five minutes on the topic, “Discovering the Optimism within Me.”

The contestants were required to craft their own speech, and could receive advice in its preparation. They were allowed to make minor changes or improvements at any time.  For more information see the March 3, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
