Three county students earn honors at Blackburn

Alyssa Dothager and Gabrielle Oglesby, Mulberry Grove, and Alexander Roach, Pocahontas, are included on the Blackburn College dean’s list for the fall 2022 semester. Students named to the dean’s list must earn a grade point average of 3.6 or higher for the semester.

Founded in 1837, Blackburn College is a four-year, Presbyterian-related, co-educational liberal arts college located in Carlinville, one of ten federally-recognized work colleges. Blackburn has the only program in the nation fully managed by students. Balancing academic rigor and experiential learning, each student at Blackburn gains tangible experience and develops critical skills by contributing to their community, all while building a resume and earning their degree.
