Professional translator makes library donation

Professional translator Marybeth Timmermann recently donated several books to the Greenville Public Library, that she had translated from French into English.

The donated books include a non-fiction philosophical essay, “What is Existentialism?” by Simone de Beauvoir; “Barzakh: The Land In-Between” by Mauritanian author Moussa Ould Ebnou; a science fiction novel recently listed on Brittle Paper’s 100 Notable African Books of 2022;. also by Ebnou is “Honeymoon on the Moon and Other Stories,” a short story collection; and “Elfie, seasons 1-6,” an illustrated historical fiction romance by Gabrielle Dubois.
