It seems a little early, but a few winter sports champions have already been crowned in Illinois.
Last weekend the IHSA conducted its competitive cheer state finals at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington.
Johnsburg won the Small Team division with Metro East schools Columbia and Breese Central coming in second and third.
In the Medium Team division, Oak Forest took the title and Troy (Triad) took fourth place.
