GU choir festival returns after COVID disruption

On Thursday, Greenville University hosted its 47th annual High School Choral Festival at James E. Wilson Recital Hall.

Choral students from Greenville High School and Belleville West, along with the GU Choir took part in the event. It was the first time the festival had been held since the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I believe it is important for our choir students to participate in these festivals because they learn new music and get to work with new directors,” said GHS music director Megan McPeak. “These festivals also give our students the opportunities to perform with much larger choirs than our own here at GHS.” For more information see the February 7, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
