The Bond County Farm Bureau held its 102nd annual meeting Friday night. State Representative Charlie Meier was present at the meeting and spoke about wind and solar companies wanting to lease farmland and the potential dangers it can present to the landowners. Meier said he would not support or oppose the companies, but advised those interested in leasing their land to get a lawyer to review the contracts.
